"Lord, I need you, every hour I need you."
"Standing here in your presence, in a grace so relentless, I am won by perfect love."
"We give you all the glory."

These are a selection of the lyrics from the songs the middle and high school students and their families sang during adoration and XLT. Advent is a time of waiting, watching, and preparing for the birth of Christ. The youth ministry students and their families came together to prepare for Christmas by spending time in the presence of Christ himself.
Adoration was prefaced by a witness talk from Midland High senior, Brady Wing. Brady helped us to understand how important our Christian community and participation in the Eucharist is by telling us about the importance of his Christian community and participation in the Eucharist. We are so grateful to Brady for sharing his story with the middle and high school students, and for inspiring us all to seek out our Christian community this Advent season and beyond.
The time spent in adoration of the Blessed Sacrament was absolutely life-giving! It was an opportunity for students and adults alike to sit with Jesus and talk and listen and ask the questions:
Jesus, is that really You? Do I believe that You are present in the Eucharist?
Do I trust You Jesus? Do I trust You with my whole life?
How can I love You more? Is there anything I am holding back from You?
Jesus asked me: “What do you want me to do for you? (Lk. 18:41) how would I answer?
Am I grateful for what God has done in my life?
I hope that even if you didn't have an opportunity to attend adoration that you will spend some time this Advent asking these questions and spend some time in quiet prayer to hear God's answers.
